Why Beyoncé and Jay-Z Picked the Name Blue Ivy – 01/09/2012

Published January 9, 2012 by thesugahoneyicetea

What’s in a name?  That’s what we all are trying to figure out when it comes to the interesting choice Bey and Jay chose for their new baby girl.  Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s baby girl Blue Ivy Carter arrived Saturday, and while little girls are customarily pretty in pink, this baby is also being surrounded by touches of blue.  This was the case over the holidays, when, in anticipation of the baby’s birth, the parents-to-be sent pals blue Christmas gifts, a source tells PEOPLE.

Beyonce Baby Has Finally Born

Sources and fans suggest the couple chose the name “Ivy” because of the number 4 or Roman numeral IV, which is significant in Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s relationship.

Beyoncé’s birthday is Sept. 4, while Jay-Z’s is Dec. 4; the two married on April 4 in 2008; they reportedly have matching “IV” tattoos on their wedding fingers; and Beyoncé named her latest album 4.

Faith Evans, Tweet, Angie Stone & Others Set To Star In “Diary Of A Diva” Reality Show

Published October 7, 2011 by thesugahoneyicetea

Some of your fave grown R&B singers including Angie Stone, Tweet, Faith Evans and KeKe Wyatt are set to hit the small screen in 2012 for a reality series called “Diary Of A Diva.”  Get deets inside…..

Starting in 2012, a reality show about a group of Black women that focuses on the positive aspects of their lives as mothers and businesswomen will hit the small screen.  It’s called “Diary of a Diva.”

##

The show shines a light on the personal and professional lives of Syleena Johnson, Faith Evans, Tweet, Angie Stone, Monifah, KeKe Wyatt, LeLee of SWV and Brownstone original member Nicci Gilbert and new member Teisha Jaretta.

And according to Syleena Johnson, who recently released her fifth album, Chapter V: Underrated, you shouldn’t expect to see any drinking tossing or knock out fights on the show.

She said,

“The good news is that you’re dealing with a group of women who have careers and lives and focus, where we don’t really have time to sit around and argue. So if there’s drama, which I’m sure there will be, there’s definitely going to be resolutions, you’re going to be able to see resolutions as well.”

She added that the show will include,

“…How we deal with men in the industry, that’s a dilemma, and I’m sure everybody wants to see that.”

#

Syleena also revealed that Nicci Gilbert came up with the idea.

“Nicci Gilbert created it all by herself. She approached me and then she went in with Faith for production. Faith was going to do her own show but Faith stopped her own show to do this one.”

It has not been announced which network will carry The Think Factory production.  We’re thinking TV One.  Because we all know VH1 wouldn’t give real talent and positivity the time of day….
